At Foxar Athon, effective digital experiences begin with evidence. Before deciding how a website should look or work, we need to understand the business, its users, their decisions and the barriers preventing them from moving forward.
We’re looking for a UX Researcher who can turn conversations, observations and data into clear insights that guide strategy, content and design.
If you enjoy asking thoughtful questions, identifying patterns and helping teams make better decisions based on evidence, we’d love to meet you.
Language Requirement: Native or professional fluency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese is mandatory.
Understand each client’s business model, target audience, commercial objectives, products, services and digital challenges.
Plan research activities by defining research questions, participant profiles, suitable methods and expected outcomes.
Conduct stakeholder interviews, user interviews, discovery sessions, surveys and usability tests.
Research user behaviours, needs, motivations, expectations and barriers across different stages of the customer journey.
Analyse existing websites, analytics, search behaviour, customer enquiries, sales feedback and other available evidence.
Review competitor and industry experiences to identify common patterns, user expectations, gaps and opportunities.
Map user journeys, decision-making processes, pain points, information needs and critical moments of interaction.
Test wireframes, prototypes and live digital experiences to identify usability issues before and after implementation.
Synthesise qualitative and quantitative findings into clear themes, insights and prioritised recommendations.
Translate research into practical outputs such as personas, journey maps, research reports, opportunity areas and design principles.
Present findings clearly to clients, strategists, copywriters, UI/UX designers and developers.
Maintain organised research notes, recordings, consent records, participant information and project documentation.
Evaluate completed projects and recommend improvements based on user feedback, behaviour and performance data.
Improve internal research templates, methods and documentation so future projects can be conducted more consistently.
Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative UX research methods.
Experience conducting interviews, surveys, usability testing or customer research.
Ability to develop research plans, interview guides and testing scripts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify meaningful patterns across different sources.
Clear report writing, documentation and presentation skills.
Familiarity with journey mapping, personas, information architecture and usability principles.
Comfortable working with Figma, FigJam, Miro or similar research and collaboration tools.
Basic familiarity with website analytics, heatmaps or behavioural data is an advantage.
Experience researching B2B, professional services or complex decision journeys is an advantage.
Experience using AI-assisted research and synthesis tools responsibly is an advantage.
We care less about researchers who produce lengthy reports that nobody uses.
We care more about researchers who:
Question assumptions before accepting them as facts.
Know the difference between what users say and what they actually do.
Ask neutral questions without leading participants.
Look for contradictory evidence, not only confirmation.
Connect user needs with business realities.
Separate observations from interpretations.
Turn findings into practical recommendations.
Communicate uncertainty honestly.
Protect participant privacy and handle research data responsibly.
Help teams make decisions without overstating what the evidence proves.
Are naturally curious about why people behave the way they do.
Enjoy listening closely and asking meaningful follow-up questions.
Can find patterns without ignoring important differences.
Are comfortable speaking with clients, users and internal teams.
Can simplify complex findings without removing important context.
Enjoy collaborating with strategy, content, design and development teams.
Know how to prioritise insights based on user impact and business relevance.
Can adapt your research approach to different timelines, budgets and project needs.
Believe research should shape decisions, not merely support decisions already made.
Prefer relying on personal opinion instead of evidence.
Ask questions mainly to confirm an existing idea.
Lose interest when research involves detailed documentation and analysis.
Struggle to communicate findings clearly to non-researchers.
Treat every user comment as equally representative.
Prefer working independently without collaborating with design and business teams.
Produce insights without explaining what the team should do next.
Are uncomfortable revising your conclusions when new evidence appears.
At Foxar Athon, UX research is not a ceremonial step before design. It helps determine what should be built, how information should be structured and what users need before they can make a decision.
Our clients often operate in B2B and complex industries where customer journeys are longer, stakeholder needs differ and purchasing decisions require more information and trust.
You’ll help our teams replace assumptions with evidence and turn complex user needs into clearer digital experiences.
If you enjoy uncovering what matters, challenging assumptions and helping teams design with greater confidence, we’d love to hear from you.
